glad we went with this one
we love our spa. It's very relaxing and therapeutic at the same time.
teenage kids love it! both are involved in sports, so it helps with sore muscles. the water care is MUCH easier than our old spa. no balancing, etc...

We got our tub last November and have been in love with it ever since. The adjustable hydromassage jets are wonderful. I love that I can change the larger and medium size jets from a steady stream of pressure to the rotating action. We are first time spa owners but have found the water care essentially a breeze. We have the ACE system. Once the salt was added in the beginning, we only had to add a scoop of chlorine 1-2 times a week and lo-n-slow 1-2 times a month. We clean the filter ever couple months or so and the water has been consistently clear. We did find if the water was too low (and not high enough to reach the filter) then the water will get cloudy, but with the water at the right height we haven't had a problem. I do wish you could have more power to all of the jets at one time, especially when the tub is full of people, but then that would also increase the energy cost so I am ok with how that works out. Another feature that would be nice is when you are in one of the corner chairs with the calf massage, to have the foot have jets that would hit your feet. In this chair, either my calves get the massage or I need to move off the calf massage to get the foot jets to hit my feet. Overall though, this spa has been amazing and I sleep so much better.

Great idea but not well executed
We've had this tub for about 4.5 years now. From the beginning we've had issues with the lights (the great idea). They've been replaced under warranty twice and now that its out of warranty I'm gonna have to foot the bill. Also the water feature lighting broke and the silicone around it started peeling away from the beginning. We've also had to replace all of the pillows and the screws that were holding the pillow brackets to the tub due to rusting, yes I've kept the water ph at the correct levels.
I'm gonna call to see if I can get some assistance with fixing the lights yet again.

not worth the money
within the first year one pump had to be replaced. less then 4 years into ownership 1,500 in repairs needed. ligths don't work, wet in's bad, heater is leaking, cover is shot. I will say the company did give replacement parts for free to repair but i've owned other hot tubs and never had this many thing go wrong in less then 4 years. Evergreen spa is a great place to buy a hot tub because they will go the extra mile to take care of their customers. in 2009 it only got a 3 year warranty but now has a 5 year warranty. I would have to think twice about buying another Hot Spring spa.

Not worth the cost
This is our second Hot Springs hot tub and this model is terrible!! While the jets seem to have 6 levels, in reality they really only have about 4 different options. There are 2 separate motors for the jets (as least that is what the manual indicates) but the choices for the jet power is limited by the way the system is programmed....one motor will work certain jets and the other motor work other jets while both motors are needed for yet some of the other jets. Terrible choices of which jets are on at which time and you can't alter that! In addition, you can't just turn the jets on and off...you need to scroll through all 6 levels before you can shut them off! The same is true with the lighting in the tub.....not a simple on and off....you need to hit the button several times to go from on to dim to off! Also, the panel is difficult to read while in the tub.The ACE salt system requires extensive management EACH WEEK! (Unlike what the saleslady told us that it required little management!) Very unhappy with this tub!

Ace System is more trouble than it is worth
We purchased our Limelight Pulse in April 2012. We are now on our 3rd salt cell and it too is showing the same signs of degradation after just a few months. The cells seem to rapidly deteriorate even when the chemistry is kept perfect in the tub. The level of chlorine that the cell makes decreases over time when spa usage is the same and there is no change to the spa levels. This has been quite a frustrating experience and now it appears the system is failing again. I would not recommend the salt system to anyone purchasing a hotsprings hottub. The tubs are made just fine, the salt system is not ready for consumer market.

first time tubber
Our choice after looking and reviewing for over 4 months was between the vanguard and the pulse. Being a first timer we opted for the pulse. Very happy with the controls and the ease of operation. We use it about an hour or so each night before bed and we both agree that we sleep a whole lot better. We were not interested in a tub with the lounge because it seemed to push my wife out and it was more of a challenge to stay in it than to relax. we strongly recommend wet testing before buying.

What I Didn't Know
First time purchaser. I love my Pulse, it's 6 months old. Water balance is very easy with this unit. It's comfortable and a great addition to my outdoor living space.
However, I can't rate this unit 5 stars due to the follow issue. I was not made aware of its " minor design flaw" when I purchased the unit. Evidently if you follow the water care instructions straight from the manual; you too may experience this issue. DON'T ADD CHEMICALS ON A HIGH JET SETTING. My pulse created a wave action and pushed all the water out of the tub. It appeared to be more of a water fountain then a hot tub. Before I knew it, the tub was empty, the temperature outside was 31 degrees, so when the temperature dropped inside the unit the two front panels of the tub skirt cracked and warped.
My only advise to a new purchaser...ask questions, speak to technicians that service these units. They're the ones that know first hand the ins and outs of these units. I should have been made aware that this could happen long before it did. There are ways to prevent this from happening (low jet setting and drop the cover half way down, but no one told me) I've been adding the chemicals like this for 6 months, so why now? No one can tell me that either. Luckily, neither the pumps or electrical system were damaged. It's proven to be a very well built unit.
